RITE OF CHRISTIAN
INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA):
Interested
in Becoming Catholic?
Know someone who would
like to?
The Rite of
Christian Initiation of Adults is
an integral part of our life as Church community. By means of this
process, which will begin in the fall, persons who are searching will
embark on a journey of discovery of God, self, and others. Through
exploring our Catholic faith, you are invited to see for yourself how
God is calling you in the depths of your being. It may very well be that
your journey will lead you to seek entrance into the Roman Catholic
Church at Easter through Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist, or
to complete a journey already begun by Baptism in another Christian
Church earlier in life. RCIA is also intended for persons
who were baptized as Catholics but for whatever reason had never gone
very far on their faith journey or completed sacramental initiation. If
this is for you, please call the office, to make an appointment
(519-742-5061).
BANNS:
There is a promise of marriage between Antonio Neves and Melissa
Wasilyk, both of this Parish. (3rd & Final Publication)
Blessed Sacrament has
preauthorized debit for your Sunday and other collections. If you are
interested forms are available in the lobby to sign up.
The Marriage
Enrichment Course
Mark your fall calendars and plan to attend The Marriage Enrichment
Course being offered on eight Friday evenings beginning Sept. 24,
2010 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Kitchener. The course is a
very practical opportunity to give couples the tools to build a strong
and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime. Couples talk about
important issues that can get missed
in the rush of daily life.
Privacy as a couple is always respected. There is no group discussion
and no requirements to disclose anything about your relationship to
anyone else. The setting is welcoming and relaxing. A typical evening
begins with a candlelight dinner for two followed by a video and time to
discuss topics privately as a couple. We invite you to reserve your
candlelight table now! For further information please call Bernie or
Rosemary at 519-742-8045.

SUMMER WEAR:
Now that the warm, summer weather has arrived and we can finally put
away our winter coats and bring out our summer clothing, it is
important to be aware of what we wear to Church. Church is a public
place where we come to worship our God. The way we dress should show
our love and respect for God and not be a distraction for our fellow
parishioners. Please keep this in mind when deciding what you and
your children will wear to Mass.
