2011 INCOME TAX RECEIPTS:
Income tax receipts were
available for pickup on Sunday, January 8. Some of you have received
them but they were incorrect. Please keep that receipt and another one
will be issued for the difference to make up the total amount you
contributed in 2011. You will have 2 receipts when filling in your
income tax. If anyone requires a
summary, you may call the office and a copy will be printed for you.
Those who contributed to St. Vincent De
Paul your receipt is placed with your church receipt in alphabetical
order as well. Please file your receipts with the other documents
necessary for preparing your income tax.

The Tuesday night Bible
Study group will be doing a 6 week study for the Lenten season on
prayer, fasting and almsgiving, using a study book by Kevin Perrotta. We
will begin on Tuesday, February 28 until April 3 from 7 – 9 p.m. in the
music room. The cost of the book will be approximately $12. and we will
order as a group to save shipping costs. If you are interested in

THE NEW EVANGELIZATION
– Pope John Paul II declared that “...it is our duty to proclaim Christ
to all peoples”. To assist us in this call, there is an exciting
formation program being offered this summer from July 19 – 22 (Thursday
and Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday) at Blessed Sacrament Church.
Do you deeply love our Lord and desire to share your faith with your
friends and family? The School of Evangelization will open your faith
and encourage, challenge and equip you to share the Gospel message with
others. It will be led by Mission of the Redeemer Ministries (www.missionoftheredeemer.com).
The cost is $99 per person and is limited to 40 participants. For more

Sacrament Catholic Women’s League has been asked to make the luncheon

Friday, March 2 at 2 p.m. the World
Day of Prayer is being held at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church at 236
Woodhaven St. (near Fairview Park Mall). It is open to all denominations
and to both men and women. Come pray, attend the reception after, and
meet some of your Christian neighbours.
Pancake Breakfast
The
second annual Pancake Breakfast, hosted by the Blessed Sacrament Youth
Group, will be held on Sunday February 19th, to raise
money for
future events! Tickets will sold after all Masses starting on February
4th, and are $5.00 per person (up
to 4 people) and $2.00 for each additional
attendee. KIDS UNDER 5 EAT FREE!!! Come on out for a great meal, and to
support our Youth!

DIOCESAN WEDDING
ANNIVERSARY MASS
Are
you celebrating your 25th, 40th, 50th, 60th, or 60+ Wedding
Anniversary in the year 2012? If you are, you are cordially invited to
join couples from across the Diocese of Hamilton for a Wedding
Anniversary Mass on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Cathedral of Christ
the King at 2:00 pm. (Space allows room for Anniversary couples only
- those married 60 years or more may bring 1 guest). Please refer

for information on how to register for the celebration.
Novena to Our Lady
of Lourdes
The
Legion of Mary at St. Mark' Parish (55 Driftwood Dr., ) invites you to
join them in saying a Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes to February
11th each day in the church at 6:30 p.m. All are
invited to join in this time for prayer to Our Lady for anyone who maybe
suffering, either physically or emotionally. For those that cannot
attend we will be distributing small prayer cards for those who wish to
join in at home during this week of special prayer to Our Lady. On
February 11th, at the conclusion of the novena, we will have
a small reception, where we will be presenting a movie about Our Lady of
Lourdes and St. Bernadette. Refreshments and small snack will be
provided to help celebrate. We hope to finish around 8 p.m. so the
little ones can go home to bed. This is a great opportunity to teach
your family about Mary and our faith. All are welcome.

Diocesan collection in support of the seminarians of the Diocese of
Hamilton takes place this weekend. A seminarian is someone who is
studying and preparing to be a priest. Please remember in your prayers
the 16 seminarians who are preparing for priestly service in the Diocese

God in loving imitation of Christ who came not to be served but to

The season of Lent is fast
