And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit ~ Acts 2:4
At Baptism, we are reborn as sons and daughters of God, baptized in Christ and into a community of faith – the body of Christ. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is “sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit” and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ, completing what was begun at baptism.
In Confirmation, Christians receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit and a deepening of baptismal graces needed to grow as mature disciples of Christ in the life of the Church.
- For children attending Catholic schools, Confirmation preparation begins in the 7th grade and takes place in the parish schools. 2021 dates to be announced.
- For children attending public schools, or who are being homeschooled, Confirmation is facilitated through the parish Confirmation program.
- For children out of phase in the reception of the sacraments – Confirmation is facilitated through our Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC)
If you have any questions about which program is right for your child or would like further information, please call the parish office
