Marriage

And the two shall become one  ~ Mark 10:8

More than a civil union, marriage for Catholics is a sacrament – an outward sign of inward grace – instituted by Christ. Not simply the joining of two people, marriage is the intimate union of three – God at the center – in a lifetime covenant of love, fidelity, and mutual support. Marriage, like baptism, is lived out over a lifetime, with daily committment. Through God’s grace, the steadfast and selfless love between husband and wife becomes symbolic of the faithful, abundant, steadfast, and sacrificial love of Christ for His Church.
